- February 26, 2026In the new program "Sanctuary," Rhiannon Giddens and the Silkroad Ensemble explore how these traditions help us make sense of our world, process loss, navigate environmental and social changes, and rebuild community through shared musical experience. At its core, the program (March 22 at the Center for the Arts) seeks to uplift—offering joy, hope, and a renewed sense of belonging through collective listening and presence.

- February 26, 2026Known as the Monty Python of the music world for more than 30 years, the Austrian brass septet Mnozil Brass pays homage to the “King of the Waltz” Johann Strauss at the Center for the Arts March 1.

- Center for the Arts presents Les Ballets Africains, national dance company of the Republic of GuineaJanuary 12, 2026“Les Ballets Africains is not simply a dance company, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer said. “Its members also play drums, do gymnastics, sing and pantomime throughout the course of its full-length story works…[and] the troupe has attracted an incredibly talented group of powerful dancers who can manage the intense athleticism, stirring singing and dynamic acting skills that the storytelling productions demand.”
- January 12, 2026During Black History Month, experience performances at the Center for the Arts including Virginia Opera's "Intelligence," Les Ballets Africains, and the Dewberry School of Music concert by Mason Bands, titled "Dope."
- January 9, 2026The Center for the Arts presents a family musical based on the character Curious George, which was launched in a series of beloved books and then an animated series on PBS.
- December 1, 2025Superstar violinist Ray Chen performs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on Jan. 23 a sparkling masterpiece which has played a huge role in his stratospheric career: the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, which was the first violin concerto Chen ever performed with an orchestra at the age of 13, and the piece he performed to win first prize in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels in 2009 which helped launch him to fame.
