Join Danú for a Celebration of Irish Music

Body

This past year, traditional Irish musical ensemble Danú celebrated its 30th anniversary of making music. We’re delighted to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a festive concert of celebratory music here on our stage March 20.

Hailing from Counties Waterford, Cork, Dublin and Donegal in Ireland, Danú formed in 1995 as part of Ireland’s delegation to Lorient Inter-Celtic Festival in Brittany, France. This annual event that is the biggest gathering of Celtic nations in the world. The band has since released 11 albums, beginning with their eponymously titled debut in 1997, and culminating with their most recent release The Pearl Album in 2025. The latter is a 30-track retrospective of the group’s musical journey, including several live tracks at notable venues.

“The music here is sublime,” The Irish Echo praised. “For much of it, Danú digs into its finest older tracks as a way of exploring its past, and with this they breath fine new life into a catalog that really has withstood the test of time.”

So add some authentic Irish pride to your St. Patrick’s Day celebration, and join Danú for an unforgettable concert at the Center for the Arts.
