CVPA faculty

  • Whitman Brown Joined CVPA as the Chief Business Officer in August 2022. He comes to us from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he has held a series of increasingly responsible positions in the finance and operations area for the past 13 years, culminating as Senior Associate Dean and Chief of Operations.

  • Sharon O’Boyle has had an extensive career in data analysis, technical writing, research, and software development.

  • Dr. William L. Lake, Jr. is the Director of Concert Bands at the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music at George Mason University.

  • Laura Mertens joined George Mason University’s Center for the Arts as Marketing Manager in 2022.

  • Annie Hunt is currently the Publications Coordinator for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at George Mason University where she has been part of the marketing team since January 2020.

  • Rachelle Etienne-Robinson is a multi-talented creative. Rachelle was born in Queens, NY, and raised in Fairfax, VA.

  • Gabriel Celeste is currently the Graphic Designer for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at George Mason University

  • Iris (Mengxia) Zhou, a professional traditional Chinese instrument musician, received her bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in China in 2016.

  • Jazz Times magazine writes: "Breedlove has chops...and is the leader of a tight, forceful band". AllAboutJazz.com has called Graham Breedlove "A trumpet player with an exquisite tone and provocative harmonic ideas...Breedlove exhibits great control and cranks out some head-turning melodic ideas". The International Trumpet Guild's Journal raves, "...one of the most exciting trumpet players on the planet!" Also active as a composer, Graham’s work has been featured on NBC’s Today show, Food Network’s Emeril Live, ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos and the Washington Post has called it “...terrific...with luminous, fine-grained autumnal harmonies...”.

  • Emily Schneider is a creative marketer who thrives on research and inventive wordplay.
