Get ready to laugh and cheer for everyone’s favorite barber! Virginia Opera’s 2023-2024 season continues with Gioachino Rossini‘s beloved masterpiece The Barber of Seville running at the Center for the Arts November 11—12.

Opening Virginia Opera’s 2023-2024 season, Siegfried, part three of Richard Wagner’s legendary "Ring" cycle, performs at the Center for the Arts on October 7 and 8. Virginia Opera invites its audience to reenter the fantasy realm of gods and heroes on an epic quest for true love.  

Audience members attending Virginia Opera’s production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s "The Pirates of Penzance" on November 12th or 13th can begin their journey with the pirates before the curtain even rises.

The Center for the Arts presents Wagner's electrifying "The Valkyrie" Oct. 8-9 and Virginia Opera Artistic Director Adam Turner participated in a livestreamed talk with Wagner Society of Washington, DC Chairman Jim Holman about the production.
