Here at the Center for the Arts, we like to celebrate the holidays with music and dance performances from cultures around the world, ranging from traditional to modern. The Vienna Boys Choir (Dec. 14) is a classic Christmas concert that we hope will fill your heart with light and joy.

Boys from around the world audition to join the choir, and their current membership hails from 31 different countries. Hear them all come together to sing Silent Night.
- Some of the choir’s most famous alumni include Joseph and Michael Haydn, Franz Schubert, Hans Richter, and HK Gruber. In this video, they sing Haydn’s Heiligste Nacht.
- The Choir performs more than 300 concerts around the world each year. But they still spend plenty of time in Vienna. Hear them sing with the Vienna Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Bernstein, alongside the Vienna State Opera Chorus and mezzo-soprano Christa Ludwig in this classic clip from the 1970s.
