The Center for the Arts will be collecting donations from November 11 through December 14 for the Patriot Pantry, which provides non-perishable food and hygiene items to currently enrolled George Mason students through University Life’s Student Support and Advocacy Center.
Three ways to help:
- Drop off donation items at the Center for the Arts main lobby Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or during scheduled performances at 4373 Mason Pond Drive in Fairfax, VA 22030.
While all forms of generosity are appreciated, individually packaged items (like granola bars, single-serving snacks, beverages, travel-size toiletries) are ideal for distribution.
Most requested donation items include the following:
Food:
Pasta/pasta sauce; rice (instant or regular); cans of tuna, salmon, or chicken; mac and cheese;
Hormel Compleats microwavable meals; mixed vegetables; soups;
vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free food options; healthy snacks (granola bars, nuts, crackers);
peanut butter; jelly; instant oatmeal; cereal and other breakfast items (pancake mix, muffins, etc.)
Personal Hygiene Items:
Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, bars of soap, lotion, period products,
shaving cream/razors, toothpaste/toothbrush, floss, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper
- Order directly from Patriot Pantry’s Amazon wish list for delivery to its facility.
